2020 Event POSTPONED

The 2020 British Open has been postponed, due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

PSA Statement

The 2020 Allam British Open – originally scheduled for May 25-31 – has been postponed following today’s confirmation from the PSA that the suspension of the PSA World Tour due to the global outbreak of COVID-19 has been extended until August.

Tournament organisers, the PSA and England Squash all agree that given the health and safety concerns during this global pandemic, it is in the best interests of all players, tournament staff and spectators that the tournament be postponed from its original dates. All parties will work together to stage the tournament in the latter half of 2020.

“The British Open is one of the most highly-anticipated tournaments on the PSA World Tour calendar and the decision to postpone it has been a difficult one,” said Tournament Director Tim Garner.

“However, our priority is the safety of our players, tournament staff and spectators and we accept the PSA’s decision to postpone the tour until we have come through this pandemic.

“We will work tirelessly with all stakeholders to find suitable dates for the rescheduling of the tournament and we look forward to be able to share these details with the public in due course.”
